Transformers

The electrostatic transformer is the heart of any electrostatic precipitator. To form an electrostatic field for the precipitator, some applications require high voltage….up to 50kVDC. The 100% reactance electrostatic transformer accomplishes this. Our factory-new transformers contain copper wound cores and reactors that have been vacuum pressure impregnated (VPI) with polyester resin for long-lasting moisture-free coils. VPI offers the most rugged, longest-lasting protection against the harshest environments. Both reactor and core are cross-braced to the transformer tank to ensure reliable service in high vibration and high motion conditions like those found on offshore production platforms.

Standard options found on these transformers include pressure switches, level gauges, CT, pressure relief valves, temperature switches, tertiary feedback, and tap changers, among others. The paint system used is an offshore, multicoat epoxy paint system for maximum corrosion resistance. Tank lids are always made with 316SS, and special-order units can be made with all stainless steel construction.
